This project integrates smart glasses with AI to transcribe conversations, perform live contextual searches, and capture images. Using voice commands, the glasses analyze captured visuals and provide answers through a LLM. As project lead, I managed the project schedule, delegated tasks, and facilitated meetings to ensure effective collaboration.
Step 1: documenting existing code
The first step in this project involved thoroughly reviewing and documenting the existing codebase, which was developed in Java and Python and hosted on a GitHub repository. This process included analyzing the structure, functionality, and integration points of the code to gain a comprehensive understanding of the progress made by previous developers. Clear documentation was created to summarize key components and provide insights into the current state of the project, ensuring a seamless transition for the team to build upon this foundation effectively.


step 2: custom api development
To align the project with client preferences, we developed a custom API that allowed us to modify key functionalities of the smart glasses system. This included implementing changes such as replacing the wake word from "Hey Mirror" to "Jarvis." By creating a flexible API, we ensured the system could be tailored to client requirements while maintaining seamless integration with existing components. This step enhanced the adaptability of the project and reinforced its user-centered design approach.
step 3: Coding setup/api testing & front-end design
Currently, the project is in the phase of setting up the coding environment, rigorously testing the newly developed API, and designing the user interface and front-end. This involves ensuring that the API modifications function as expected, integrating the smart glasses' features seamlessly, and creating an intuitive and visually appealing UI. The focus is on delivering a polished user experience while maintaining technical precision, ensuring the system is both functional and user-friendly.
